Ashdown Camp
South Midlands Area Military Vehicle Trust (MVT)

Would like to invite you to become a member to contribute and help develop our

WW2 camp and Vintage Festivals.

This is a great opportunity for military vehicle  enthusiasts,   military   memorabilia   collectors   and
re-enactors to get pro-active.

We are unique in that we are the only MVT area to have three genuine restored WW2 Nissen Huts, one complete with pot bellied stove & piano used as our meeting place. The Nissen Huts form part of Ashdown Camp which comprises of:

· 3 Nissen Huts - Brits, Yanks & Germans
· Anderson air raid shelter
· Earth bund walls
· Radio shack
· Replica Nazi pillbox
· Searchlights
· Security fencing
· Sentry posts with barriers
· All overlooked by the purposeful watch  tower

Plus lots of other atmospheric memorabilia

Membership

With verified membership we are asking for you to get stuck in and to make a contribution to area funds of £12 for a year. These funds will go towards area running costs and towards the administration/ running costs of the South Midlands MVT. We are an active and cost-effective club so we won’t be spending your money on badges, key rings and newsletters etc.  As we need help with organising and arranging displays around the camp or in the show arena, and raising extra funds.

We currently have a number of exciting projects on the go that would benefit from additional funding and practical help. We will soon be erecting a concrete bunker, gun emplacement, an ex-British Waterways shelter and Nissen Huts two & three have just gone up so that we will have one for the Brits, one for the Yanks & one for the Germans.

In return for your membership contribution you will get a jolly good handshake, a great deal of fun, access to members who have a wealth of military vehicle experience to share, verification and the chance to share the esprit de corps in developing the South Midlands Area of the Military Vehicle Trust.

All are welcome with or without a vehicle & post war vehicles also very welcome
